Last week in #newyorkcity we were fortunate enough to catch up with one of our favorite #artgalleries @art3gallery located in #bushwick. They have an incredible opening tonight in their main gallery featuring #JulietteDumas, but what really struck our fancy were these incredible #oilpaintings by #brooklynartist @kopptara in their newly renovated back gallery. Part of a series entitled #ModelLives, each image depicts a seemingly mundane scene in a modem apartment but Kopp's unique and personal take breathes life into each scene (she also bases them on actual architectural models that she builds and then uses as her models to paint from...so cool!) The works are a fantastic example of #affordableart that strikes a nerve yet is also so skillfully done that it becomes an immediate conversation piece. If you're an #nycartlover we strongly urge you to join Art 3 tonight at 109 Ingraham Street from 6-9 PM to see what we've seen and love so much.#brooklynart #nycartscene #galleryopening #contemporaryart
